M2B Ambassadors
Amanda Cunningham
Mother runner of two little boys who loves to run here in Ventura County. My fastest marathon times have always been at Mountains 2 Beach. I am excited to return to this beautiful course and run another year chipping away at my time to qualify for the Boston Marathon. This is a picturesque course that is downhill and fast. Follow along with my training on Instagram @retrorunningmom and I hope to see you in May.

My name is Rafael and it is an honor to be named an ambassador for the Mountains2Beach marathon and half. M2B is a great race, a very scenic course, and is one of the top BQ races in the country. M2B is very special to me as I have been involved with the race since it started: running the half marathon the first few years and then the marathon in 2019, as well as having been an ambassador the past few years. I got a PR at the 2019 marathon and I am aiming to better that this year. I may not be a BQ-fast runner but I’m hoping to break 4 hours at this year’s race, fingers crossed. Come join me and a couple thousand runners in running the M2B races. IG: @LPARafael

“Hello, RedheadRunner here! I’m so excited to be back again as an M2B Ambassador. I love this race and love the community involvement from Ojai all the way down to the beach in Ventura. I feel extremely lucky to have a top 10 BQ Marathon in my backyard. The weather is wonderful and the running community always comes out to support this race. The course is lined with family members and past/present unicorn spectators supporting us BQ hopefuls and I’ve have had great success qualifying for Boston with this race. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to cross the Boston Marathon finish line twice, see some amazing back-country in ultra-marathons, as well as race down the red carpet and hear Mike Riley yell “you are an IRONMAN” at the Santa Rosa Ironman. I’ve been extremely fortunate with my experiences and want to help others achieve their dreams. Through my running business RedHeadRunner, I help runners come out of injury and back on the road where they want to be by video analysis and movement education. I’ll be leading a quick stretch session at the morning shakeout run with my fellow ambassadors the Saturday before the race. Be sure to say hi and follow me on IG: redheadrunnerca
