Marathon

The Mountains 2 Beach Marathon is 26.2 miles of mountain and beachfront scenery. Starting in beautiful downtown Ojai California, the course begins at just over 700 ft.  and gradually descends to sea-level over 22 miles, and finishing near the historic Ventura, California Pier. The course is a lightning fast, USATF certified Boston Marathon Qualifier (CA22014TEB). Space is limited so don’t wait and miss out. We have sold out every year, several months early!

Half-Marathon

The Mountains 2 Beach Half-Marathon is a fast, beautiful, point to point 13.1 mile course. The start line is on a quiet country road, Santa Ana Blvd in in the little town of Oak View. The half will begin at the halfway point of the Full Marathon. The gradual downhill nature of the route will wind through Ventura’s west side valley to Ventura.  The gorgeous oceanfront awaits with views of the Channel Islands. Try not to get distracted by the beauty of the area as you still have more than a mile of ocean side running to do. Finishing just past the historic Ventura Pier, the Mountains 2 Beach Half-Marathon course is designed to be fast with a little down hill to give the 13.1 milers a similar experience to the marathoners. The finish line and festival are directly adjacent to the beach which beckons you for a post race soak. The course should run lightning fast! The half-marathon is limited to the first 1500 entrants.

10K- New for 2024!

The Mountains 2 Beach 10K is fast, flat(ish) and beautiful. The start begins at the Finish line located inside the San Buenaventura State Beach. You will begin your race in conjunction with the 5k’ers, heading immediately out along the bike path paralleling the coast line. After Mile 2.5, approximately, you will separate from the 5k and head left on Harbor Blvd and over Hwy 101 via the pedestrian bridge. At Front St you will join the Full/Half Marathon Route and continue your way back to the beach. After a short out and back on Harbor (caution you will encounter 5k’ers here), Head north one more time up the bike path for some extra beach front running. Once you pop back out onto Harbor you are enroute to the finish line where the post race finish party awaits!

Beachfront 5K

With a beautiful ocean side start, the M2B 5k starts at the finish line in San Buenaventura State Beach Park. It heads out the Finish Chute towards the bike path. You run beachside along the bike path and promenade all the way out past the Ventura Pier. Once you hit the turn around point flip around and head back towards the pier where you will veer off the Boardwalk and head towards Harbor Blvd. Once you are on Harbor you merge into the Full/Half Course for another beachside return down the bike path and back into the Finish Chute at the San  Buenaventura State Beach Park. Be sure to stick around for the festivities and beer garden and to cheer on your fellow runners. 5k participants will enjoy the same finish line as the Full and Half Marathoners.  And the best thing yet…. 100% of net proceeds of the Beachfront 5k goes directly to benefiting our charity partners.
