Amanda Cunningham
I am mother of two little boys who loves to run here in Ventura County. My PR for the marathon was at Mountains to Beach 2018 so I am excited to return to this beautiful course and run another year chipping away at my time to qualify for the Boston Marathon. This is a picturesque course that is downhill and fast. Follow along with my training on Instagram @retrorunningmom and I hope to see you in May.

I am a wife, mom to 4 year old twins, certified personal trainer, yoga & spinning instructor and a competitive triathlete. I enjoy a good challenge so when a friend dared me to sign up for a triathlon eight years ago it was on. After experiencing that amazing feeling of crossing the finish line a fire was lit and I was hooked. I have gone on to finish over 25 triathlons, including the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2018, 6 half marathons and 1 marathon. Mountains 2 Beach Marathon was my first marathon in 2016 and hold a special place in my heart. So excited to return to M2B this year! I have my sights set on a new half marathon PR this time around. I’m also stoked to join the ambassador team! One of the things that keeps my fire burning is the people I meet along the way. I love connecting, inspiring and helping others chase their goals. You can follow my training on Instagram @trirun_twinmom. Hope to see you out on the course!

“Wife, Mother, Caretaker, Career Woman & RUNNER. Running has given me a new life I never imagined I could have for myself. It has taught me so much about my abilities and who I am. It has also taught me that self care is SO important. This is my 3rd year running M2B and I’m super stoked as this course is both beautiful & well organized! I am honored to be representing as an ambassador yet again with a great group of people & I can’t wait to be back in Ventura county with my fellow runners!
Peace, Love and Running.”
Louella Glibert
I am Radiology Tech by profession, but an endurance runner by heart. As a 16-time marathoner, I am very fortunate to have raced across many beautiful and iconic places. However, out of the 44 races I have completed, Mountains 2 Beach Marathon is the only race I have ever run more than once. This year will make it my 3rd. For my first M2B in 2016, I ran a surprising 17-minute marathon PR for a 3:38 finish, merely a few minutes away from a Boston Qualifier. It was a breakthrough race that jump started my pursuit to BQ and finally cross that finish line on Boylston Street. After two years, two Boston Qualifiers, and two disappointing non-acceptance emails later, I am more hungry, focused, and eager than ever to BQ for the 3rd time at the Ventura Promenade. I can’t wait to train harder and smarter than ever and see how my story unfolds come May 26, 2019! Being an ambassador has definitely rekindled my excitement even further and I am eager to be involved and be an inspiration to those who seek it. (IG: Lou_Ban_Glib)

You can find me running the beautiful streets of the 805 every morning before the sun rises, 6 days a week, every week, month, year. I truly enjoy running and look forward to waking up every morning and lacing up my shoes and getting my run on and lifting some weights all before 7am. It’s a great way to start the day. I currently hold my marathon PR on Mountains2Beach marathon and in 2019 I will be looking to crush it once again. Come join me in this great, fast, scenic course and let’s have a blast. Rafael Ojeda
My name is Rafael and I am so happy to be an ambassador for the 2019 Mountains2Beach marathon and half marathon races. I have been running for a little over 8 years, just as long as this race has been around. I ran in the first one and have been involved in each one ever since. I had hoped to run the marathon last year but an injury sidelined me a few weeks before the race. But I was there at the finish line chute, cheering on runners and handing out some of the finisher medals. This year I am signed up again for the marathon and I will try to train smarter so not only will I get to the start line, but I aim to cross the finish line. This race is special in many ways, as a potential BQ or PR race, as a scenic race and a fun race overall. I love that it’s in my hometown but so many from different parts of the state, the country and even from overseas run in it. So come join me and a couple thousand other runners in running the Mountains2Beach races.

About 2 years ago, I started running to set a positive example as a healthcare provider, and lead the lifestyle I preach. Fast forward to May 2018, I ran my very first BQ race at mountains to beach marathon, my 6th marathon. Needless to say, this race holds special place in my heart. The course is beautiful and over the course of last two years between the race and training runs, I grew to fell in love with the neighborhood and the supportive staff and volunteers. Of all the races I’ve done so far, M2B is definitely one of my top races, and would run this race every year if I have my way!

“Hello, RedheadRunner here!
I’m so excited to be back as your 2019 M2B Ambassador. I love this race and have had great success qualifying for Boston with this course! The running community in Ventura is extremely active and the supportive of this race. As a running coach, my goal is to help VC runners and keep them injury free. I also run Ventura’s first, FREE weekly running class that focuses on injury prevention, running form & drills, mobility and strength and conditioning. If you have any running questions or questions about the M2B course catch me on IG at : redheadrunner_hpc. See you on the course!”
Jessica Waldeck
My name is Jessica Waldeck. M2B was my first marathon, I am enthused to encourage anyone and everyone to run this marathon. The sites are incredible, you end at the beach, and its downhill. If I can do it anyone can do it!

7 years ago, I started running as a way to enjoy the outdoors and de-stress from school work. Since then, I’ve ran 3 marathons and 7 half marathons. I am looking to set a new PR this May at M2B. I hope you will join us for a beautiful race course that ends at the beach. What’s better than that?!? Feel free to follow along on the training journey through IG: @thekinderrunner
